New promotion in the Office Department of Knight Frank

24 July 2007

The international consulting company Knight Frank Russia and CIS is pleased to announce the appointment of Mikhail Mindlin as the director of sales and acquisitions in the Department of Office Real Estate.

The new appointment was announced by Andrey Petrov, partner and director of development of the company:

“Transactions concerning the sale of real estate properties are very complex and demand a detailed study of all legal and financial aspects of all agreements between buyers and sellers. For this reason it is necessary to have profound and specific knowledge of the office sales segment as well as the current legislation, both Russian and International. Currently Mikhail is one of the best specialists in this field. We highly value his personal and professional qualities, allowing him to successfully complete many large transactions in the sales of office real estate to Russian and western companies”.

Mikhail Mindlin, giving his comments on the latest market trends in Moscow:

“The purchase of office buildings, located in prestigious areas of Moscow, is popular among large Russian companies. Such purchases are valued because of the image they portray: having one’s own building emphasizes the high status and power of the owner. And in addition to this, it makes for a good investment of resources: the price of one square meter of office space on average grows 20 to 30% annually. Even buying a building on credit, the company gains from the difference between the interest rate that the bank charges and the growth in the market price of the property”.

Mikhail Mindlin was born on June 13, 1975 Kaluga. In 1998 he finished Moscow Power Engineering University. After leaving the higher educational institution he worked for “MAIR Group” and “InterDesign”, in their sales departments. From 2001 to 2003 he worked for the “Blackwood” Real Estate Agency in the department working with owners of properties.

During the last 4 years he has worked as a consultant in the Department of Office Real Estate of Knight Frank and was in charge of large projects, including transactions dealing with leasing as well as the purchase and sale of properties. Mikhail’s duties included consulting projects for large Russian and international companies.
