London movables
Knight Frank’s adherence to British traditionalism can be seen in its rather unusual Moscow service that the company provides for its clients. The authentic London cab, which cannot be confused with any other car in the world, is available for Knight Frank’s customers visiting prime properties in Moscow.
“One of the symbols of the British capital, our cab provokes some real interest among Muscovites. None of our trips goes by without somebody taking pictures of the cab on their mobile phones”, says Ekaterina Thain, one of the Partners at Knight Frank Russia, Head of the Residential department.
It wasn’t merely an urge to be original that led to the appearance of the cab on the streets of Moscow. The London cab is undoubtedly an icon, and the London taxi service is recognized for its standard of professionalism all over the world. Knight Frank Moscow is proud of its British roots together with the knowledge gained from over 100 years working in the prime properties market. We have brought the authentic taxi-cab from London to make a property tour that bit more pleasant and interesting for our clients. The cab is certainly unusual for Moscow and attracts lots of attention. We like to think that similar to the cab, Knight Frank staff embodies the style and classic traditions of the foggy island here in Russia. We are not afraid to be compared with the highest standards of quality.
Along with London Tower, Westminster Abbey and Hyde Park, the cab has been the symbol of the British capital for a long time.
Some interesting facts about the London cab:
It is well known that London cabs looks different from any other modern car, its style drawing cues from cars from the beginning of the 20th century. But very few know that there are only three companies in England that specialize in producing London cabs. In total these companies make around 4000 cars a year.
One other little known fact is that taxi drivers in London don’t have to give change back to customers who gave them large notes - they can simply send the change to the customer’s home address.
