Maria Kotova has been appointed Director for Business Development in Russia and CIS
Maria Kotova has been appointed Director for Business Development in Russia and CIS at Knight Frank international consultancy, effective March 1, 2008.
Maria is responsible for developing new business areas, strengthening the financial performance of the company, boosting the efficiency of business processes, managing Knight Frank's database, and overseeing the quality control of Knight Frank's services in Russia and the CIS.
Maria is also responsible for operations in the Moscow, St. Petersburg and Kiev offices.
The Business Development Department was established in order to enhance the company's governance structure, and is comprised of several sub-departments, including Marketing & PR, Research, and the Contact Center. In her new capacity Maria will supervise the development of the company's general marketing strategy, including its policy on internal and external communications.
Prior to this appointment, Maria served as Head of Professional Services (market research and strategic consulting). Currently Maria also oversees the Strategic Consulting Department at the Kiev office of Knight Frank Russia and CIS.

Ms. Kotova has worked in the real estate business since 2000. She has a profound knowledge of the market, combined with significant experience in all segments. She earned a diploma in marketing and investments from the CCIM Institute in the U.S. Maria has implemented more than 100 research and consulting projects of varying complexity for major Russian and international companies. She was also a leading figure in launching publications and trade literature dealing with the real estate market in Russia. Maria joined Knight Frank in 2005 and has worked on major client accounts, including AIG Global Real Estate, Vedis Development, Hines, Don-stroy, TNK-BP, Mirax, Open Investments and ROSNO, among others.
