Olga Kochetova and Joshua Askew have been appointed as Joint Heads of the Valuation Department. They have started their new roles in early November 2007.
Joshua Askew will focus on developing and extending the International and RICS ‘Red Book’ Valuations business arm within the Department, whilst Olga Kochetova will focus on maintaining and expanding the domestic Russian and CIS Valuation area of the Department’s work.
In 2003 Olga Kochetova graduated from Hochschule fuer Technik und Wirtschaft University in Dersden specialising in International Business, and, from Plekhanov Academy in Moscow specialising in Finance and Credit. From October 2003, she is taking doctoral studies at the Russian Academy of Sciences writing her PhD thesis on “Housing problems in South Africa, policies, problems and perspectives”. Olga has also completed a number of Valuation training courses in London. She joined Knight Frank in May 2005.
Joshua Askew MRICS graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand with a BA (Hons) in English and Philosophy in the late 1990s and later went on to get an MA in Property Valuation and Property Law from Cass Business School, City of London University. He is a Chartered Surveyor and previously worked for King Sturge LLP in the English Midlands for three years valuing both domestic UK and European property. He joined Knight Frank in September 2007 in order to move to Russia to join the Knight Frank office in Moscow.
At Knight Frank, Olga and Joshua will be working together to create a better synergy between Knight Frank’s European Valuation Services Group and the Knight Frank Moscow Valuation Department, in an attempt to provide more integrated services to the company’s clients. They will also be working to create a team of professionals specializing in the highest international standards in Valuation Services.
