One of the largest Russian electronics and household retailers, M.Video, became one of tenants of Talisman retail-entertainment centre in Izhevsk. Knight Frank acted as exclusive leasing agent.
M.Video will occupy 2,340 sq m of retail site signing the 10 year leasing contract with ASPEK-Domstroy, the developer. The centre is planned to be commissioned by Q4 2008. ZAO ASPEK-Domstroy is also building residential complex next to the retail site.
Talisman is the first retail centre in Udmurtiya that is targeted at middle and upper-middle income level customers. Apart from hypermarket, the site will also offer the biggest entertainment site in Udmurtiya that would include Kinomax cinema with 8 screens, Star Galaxy entertainment zone for children and a restaurant.
“For large retail companies trying to enter regional markets it is very important not only to equip the building with all of the necessary technical infrastructure but also to create the appropriate image and marketing campaign. With this in mind, Talisman is an appropriate place for M.Video in Udmurtiya.”, says Julia Dalnova, Director of Retail Department at Knight Frank.
Talisman offers 45,000 sq m of space in total, 27,000 sq m of which is allocated to retailers. The centre will also have 842 parking spaces.
The marketing services, including branding, are done by one of the leading marketing agencies in the UK, SCG London.
