Knight Frank has closed a major deal with Bonduelle Kuban, which has reserved the space for 9,000 pallets at Betsema Logistic, a class-A warehouse complex in Moscow Region.
The secure storage agreement is signed for one year. According to the contract, Betsema Logistic will provide goods storage, receipt and loading services as well as warehouse processing for French-owned Bonduelle Kuban. Knight Frank acted as consultant to the deal.
Bonduelle Kuban LLC has been working since 1994 as a Russian distributor of canned foods under the Bonduelle and Vernet brands. The secure storage agreement with Betsema Logistic LLC will help the company to organise efficient goods delivery to the local markets. Viacheslav Kholopov, Director of the Industrial, Warehouse and Land Department of Knight Frank, noted: “The deal with Bonduelle Kuban is an important event for the logistics business. This is the first time that such a large-scale transaction has been carried out with involvement of a consultant, and it points to a growing demand from Russian and western FMCG companies for secure storage services on the Russian market.”
Ruslan Gotyzhev, Associate Director of Knight Frank’s Warehouse, Industrial and Land Department, said that the consultant’s task was to find premises, which offered the best match with requirements of the French company. Bonduelle Kuban was seeking quality warehouse premises near Moscow, and attached great importance to professionalism of the logistics provider and presence of a rail spur at the warehouse site. These criteria were best met by Betsema Logistic LLC, located 2 km from MKAD along the Ilinskoye Highway. Ruslan Gotyzhev added:
“In addition to its excellent transport location, the site has the advantages of high-quality engineering and construction. Equipment at the Betsema Logistic secure storage facility uses the most up-to-date logistics technologies, including a loading ramp fitted with electric and mechanical dock-levellers.”
Fully qualified staff at the warehouse have many years experience working with more than 10,000 different goods. Other French companies, Leroy Merlin and Royal Canin, also use the services of Betsema Logistic.
BETSEMA-LOGISTIC
The class-A warehouse complex, Betsema Logistic, was built at the site of one of Russia’s leading machine building enterprises ( HYPERLINK "http://www.becema.ru" www.becema.ru). The complex is located between Novorizhskoye and Volokolamskoye Highways, so both of these routes can be used for access to Moscow and to MKAD, which is at a distance of 5km along the Moscow-Riga road artery. Total area of the complex is 17,000 square metres, and there is capacity for 35,000 pallets.
