Helping children in need is an important mission for Knight Frank
25 December 2007
This year we have reviewed the traditional approaches that companies have towards giving out New Year presents and decided to help those ones who are in need most of all. We decided to transfer the budgets for our New Year Presents to the "Centre of Humanitarian Programmes", regional public organization for disabled. To take part in charity is one of the most important social responsibilities for our company. The transferred funds will be used to pay for surgery for children with congenital heart disorder. Bakulev Scientific Center for Cardiovascular Surgery RAMS to pay for surgery for children with Eight little patients received help in December this year.
Knight Frank paid for surgeries for Pavel Vaskin (4 years old), Valeria Vashurkina (7 years old), Anastasia Kanteeva (2 years old), Daria Poletaeva (11 years old), Ivan Prikazchikov (4 years old), Vadim Turushkin (5 years old), German Panchenko (14 years old), and Ramil Unusov (15 years old). The treatment of these children will be done in the Bakulev Scientific Center for Cardiovascular Surgery RAMS.
Jeremy Oates, Managing Director Knight Frank Russia & CIS:
"Every large company must fully realize its social responsibilities. And this is not just a question of being active on the social scene, but also a human question of helping those ones who are in need. We think helping children instead of buying the gifts is a much better way of using these funds. I am convinced that everyone would have preferred to take part in helping to save a child's life. We wish you and your relatives a good health in the coming year and are sure that those who received your help would join us in congratulating you."
